Tender Description
An opportunity has arisen for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the Information Technology Services (ITS) team. The role will provide project delivery/BAU ICT support within a small government agency in a highly versatile, dynamic, and agile environment. The Infrastructure Engineer is primarily responsible for the delivery of cloud migration and E8 uplift project activities, as well as supporting ITS infrastructure support personnel with escalations and system development tasks. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience deploying/integrating the following technologies, Microsoft (365/AD/SCCM/SOE), VMware (vSphere/Horizon), SAN technologies (DELL/NetApp) and DELL server/endpoint technologies is highly desirable.
The candidate will be required to:
1. Support a variety of Windows Servers, SQL Servers, backup tools, support tools and virtual infrastructure;
2. Deploy Applications and Operating systems using Microsoft Endpoint Manager and VMWare vSphere/Horizon;
3. Configure security products such as Windows Defender, Microsoft AppLocker and Windows Defender Application Control;
4. Automate Support Tasks using PowerShell, Microsoft Endpoint Manager and other automation tools;
5. Provide technical support to resolve incidents and service requests effectively, promptly and courteously;
6. Assist with the integration of cloud services into the NBA environment;
7. Operate in an environment compliant with the ACSC Information Security Manual;
8. Provide support and assist the CIO, the ICT Infrastructure team and Architecture with infrastructure technology decision making;
9. Work with limited oversight as part of a small multi-disciplinary team;
10. Develop documentation such as design documents, as built guides, migration plans and assist in the documentation and advice on procurement matters;
11. Provide a client focus in delivery of work priorities and assist other resources to complete projects and tasks effectively;
12. Identify opportunities to improve ICT processes and procedures.
