Tender Description

The Queensland Mental Health Commission is seeking proposals for Invitations to Offer for the following:-

Contractor Services to undertake review of the surveillance model for suicide, suicide attempts and crises in Queensland

Summary of Opportunity and QMHC Objectives

The Queensland Mental Health Commission (the Commission) is seeking a suitably qualified external provider (the Supplier) to work with the Commission and relevant partners to design and deliver a review of the current surveillance model of suicide, suicide attempts and crises in Queensland. The supplier will be required to work with the Commission and relevant partners to design and deliver a methodology and proposal for the review, and to deliver a report on options for an enhanced surveillance model for consideration by the Queensland Government.

The key aim of the review is to ensure that Queensland cross sectoral suicide prevention efforts are evidence-based and informed by the best possible datasets. The review therefore seeks to identify options for an enhanced surveillance model that aligns with the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare’s (AIHW) Principles for the National Suicide and Self-Harm Monitoring System that provide a strong starting point for an enhanced surveillance model in Queensland.

Further information including evaluation criteria can be found by downloading the Invitation to Offer documents. An industry briefing is scheduled for 13 December.
