Cohuna District Hospital is intending to release a Tender in early February 2022 for the Cohuna District Hospital Theatre Upgrade Project.

The scope of works will involve refurbishment the existing operating theatre and upgrade of CSSD to achieve standard.

The project will be delivered under an AS2124 lump sum contract.

All works must comply with the relevant Occupational Health & Safety Regulations including Industrial Relations Laws and latest DHHS advice in relation to Covid-19 pandemic.

Applicable Government policies affecting the procurement include [amend as appropriate]:

• Directions and Instructions for Public Construction Procurement;

• Social Procurement Policy, and

• Local jobs First Policy and Supplier Code of Conduct.

It is anticipated that tenderers will be selected by Cohuna District Hospital from the Construction Supplier Register will be invited to submit a response, with respondents required to have previous experience in the construction of operating rooms, working within, and meeting infection control standards, in a live hospital environment.

Local industry development plans will also be required to be submitted to ICN.
