Tender Description
GQ Hassall Street Pty Ltd of 168 Williams Road, Prahran, Victoria, 3181, propose the redevelopment of 12 Hassall Street, Parramatta within the Local Government Area of the City of Parramatta. They propose the preparation of an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment Report and will undertake testing and possibly salvage prior to redevelopment of 12 Hassall Street, Parramatta.
The proposal is to be assessed as a State Significant Development (SSD) under Part 4 Division 4.7 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. This requires Aboriginal community consultation to be undertaken in accordance with the Aboriginal cultural heritage consultation requirements for proponents 2010.
Registrations of interest are sought from Aboriginal people who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of any potential Aboriginal objects at this location. This will assist in the assessment of the proposal by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment.
Please note that the details of Aboriginal people or organisations who register an interest will be forwarded to Heritage NSW (HNSW) and the Deerubbin Local Aboriginal Land Council (DLALC). If you do not want your details forwarded to HNSW or the DLALC, please specify in your letter when registering an interest that you do not want your details forwarded to HNSW and/or the DLALC.
Comber Consultants Pty Ltd has been appointed to undertake the archaeological consultation, assessment and preparation of an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment Report.
