Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington (the University) is seeking to appoint a panel of flooring contractors to support its new Facilities Management (FM) delivery model (under its ‘FM 2022 & Beyond’ project) that was implemented early 2022.

The intent is to award up to three respondents with a panel contract for the delivery of the following flooring services:
• Reactive Maintenance (e.g. for the completion of minor and major flooring repairs);
• Project Works (e.g. for flooring replacements and renewals).

For the avoidance of doubt, the supply and installation of flooring for new-build and major projects that are included under a head contractor arrangement, along with flooring for Student Accommodation facilities, are excluded from the scope of this RFT. The panel contractors will be the University’s preferred options for any other flooring works.

The types of flooring services that the panel will be used for include, but are not limited to, the following (note your organisation does not have to provide all of these services to be considered for the panel, but it is preferred respondents can deliver as many of these as possible):

• Carpet:

• In situ repairs and modifications

• Hard surface:
• Vinyl laying
• Vinyl repairs
• Tile installation
• Tile repairs
• Timber floor maintenance
• Floor sanding and finishing
• Indoor sports court maintenance/repair
• Specialist flooring systems
• Heritage flooring:
• Carpet
• Hard surface
