This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
Defence Science and Technology are looking for a highly motivated, proactive and qualified Information Technology Specialist. The ICT Specialist will work within a project team of IT Specialists to deliver complex solutions.
Will engage with various key stakeholders, including the client, and produce high quality inputs and outputs in a very high pace environment.
Some of the key responsibilities of the ICT Specialist are as follows, but not limited to:
• Engage closely with the client and projects Solution and Security Architects.
• Develop detailed inventories of systems, applications and data storage.
• Map data movements across network zones or cross-domain environments.
• Develop/contribute to implementation planning (build, configuration, event logging)
Skills and Experience Required:
• Demonstrated experience creating documentation including implementation plans, deployment run-sheets and Standard Operating Processes/Procedures
• Familiarity or experience working in the Defence environment.
• Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Server operating environments
• Demonstrated experience working with Linux Server operating systems
• Experience working with virtual server environments (Hypervisor)
• Understanding of PSPF / ISM and Essential 8 requirements and controls
• Demonstrated experience working with network infrastructure including switches and firewalls
• Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) essential.
