Out-of-School-Hours Learning Support Programs (OSHLSPs)–more commonly known as homework clubs- provide free learning support and tutoring to students in primary and secondary school. They operate both within schools and community settings and offer an important service to families who could not otherwise afford private tuition or fee-paying academic support services. At this critical time for Victorian school students in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, combined with increased demand seen in the OSHLSP sector, an impact evaluation will be a timely and beneficial exercise to better understand the impact and value of OSHLSPs in the community. It would also provide a potentially strong basis for future growth, improvement, stability and investment in the sector. See attached project brief for further details.
