The Institute of Environmental Science and Research (ESR) invites suitable Construction Contractors to submit proposals in response to the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Kenepuru Science Centre (KSC) Build Project.

The Preliminary Design and Budget for the KSC Build Project is complete, the granting of the Resource Consent (RC) in imminent with RC conditions accepted by ESR and works are ongoing with the Design.

The KSC building has been located to integrate well within the site, both architecturally and operationally. The building design has progressed in conjunction with local Iwi, Ngati Toa Rangatira (NTR), and is a catalyst for the ongoing future collaboration between NTR and ESR.

ESR intends to engage a construction partner to primarily work with the Design Team throughout the remaining pre-construction/design phases and, subject to satisfactory performance and deliverables, continue the partnership into construction and through to completion. As such, ESR are requesting a proposal for the Pre-Construction Services, along with a proposed P&G and Margin for the Construction phase, where subcontractors are to be engaged on an open book basis.

Rubix Limited, acting as Project Manager for ESR, requests the contractor to review the attached documents and provide a proposal to complete the services on the KSC Build Project (in the format provided in Schedule 5).

Please confirm in a response cover letter your firm’s agreement with all terms and conditions, your firm’s ability to resource the project scope as programmed and that your nominated team and team leaders will be un-change should the contract be awarded.

We would appreciate if all bidders could submit a response outlining their intent to submit an offer by 12pm on 5 April 2022, with all final submissions including a cover letter and filled in schedules to be provided no later than 12pm on 26 April 2022.
