Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) has recently embarked on an Infrastructure Upgrade Program for its greyhound racing tracks and is intending to release Requests for Tender for several contracts over $500,000 from April 2022 until November 2022 across the state of Victoria.
The projects consist of but not limited to construction of buildings such as kennel blocks, track and lure rail replacement work and ancillary services including electrical, plumbing and fencing. The projects will have various stakeholder engagements attached to the work. The properties will be occupied during the works and care and protection of persons and property during the upgrades is imperative.
As these projects are all significant for each track, Contractors need to be aware of primary obligations, risks and indemnities under the AS2124-1992.
These projects will be tenders and there will be Buying for Victoria requirements which may include registration with the Construction Supplier Register, Local Jobs First requirements, social and sustainable procurement and Supplier Code of Conduct.
