Tender Description
Wudinna District Council on behalf of Wudinna and District Swimming Pool Committee Inc. is undertaking refurbishment works to the Wudinna Community Swimming Pool to upgrade filtration and pump/plumbing infrastructure. The aim is to replace the existing sand filtration system and balance tank with a contemporary low maintenance pump and filtration system.
It is also seeking the supply and installation of a pool access platform lift for its 25 m main pool.
The scope of works includes:
1. Plant room works
- Recommendation for design and documentation of replacement filtration and pumping system and associated infrastructure as per agreed tender response.
- Demolition and removal of existing plant room, filtration and pumping equipment in liaison with Wudinna and Districts Swimming Pool Committee and appropriate site safety systems in place.
- Supply & install filters, pumps and associated infrastructure and site works as per agreed tender response including:
- chemical dosing system with dosing pumps, probes, etc.
- new electrical sub-board in the plant room including field wiring.
- plumbing to service the existing swimming pools.
- supply and install all pumps and circulation equipment.
- assessment of the adequacy of the current balance tank for re use as part of this project.
- storage for pool chemicals with appropriate spacing and bunding in compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
- shelter structure for plant room, filtrations systems and chemical storage.
- appropriate development and statutory approvals as required to complete the project.
- Connections to existing swimming pools plumbing (Main 25 m pool and Toddlers Pool) Plumbing was renewed in 2021 as stage one of this project
- Operations and Maintenance Manual suppled with instructions for operations described to Wudinna and Districts Swimming Pool Inc.
- Training Program
- Signage and labelling.
- Commissioning and testing of all systems.
2. Platform Lift
Supply and install an agreed disability access platform lift as per tender response.
The tenderer is responsible for ensuring all works are planning and development approval compliant. For clarification on planning and development approval compliance, contact Council’s Manager Environmental Services, Denvir Moses on 8680 2002.
The tenderer should factor in the need for any on-site meetings with Wudinna District Council and the Wudinna and Districts Community Swimming Pool Committee of Management Inc. and allow for sufficient time for key project decisions to be made through that group. The response should outline the number of proposed meetings and when committee responses on key decisions will need to be made.
Inspection of the site can be made by contacting the nominated Council contact person.
Tenderer response to provide:
1. Plant room and associated works
- Overview of options for replacement filtration and pump system to be considered by Wudinna District Council and Wudinna and Districts Swimming Pool Committee of Management.
- Fixed price on options to supply and install replacement filtration, pump system and works as described above including GST.
2. Platform Lift
Fixed price on options to supply and install a hydraulic (or equivalent) platform access lift at Wudinna and Districts Community Swimming Pool including GST.
3. Other
- Warranty and operations information on both items 1 and 2
- Proposed Timeframe for completion of works and supply of platform lift. Wudinna and Districts Swimming Pool Inc require works to be completed by Friday 30 September, 2022.
- Any other matters to be considered as part of the tender assessment process.
