RE: Landmark Health Care/Community/Aged Care or Retirement Site

The Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CACG) invites Expressions of Interest (EOls) from the health, aged care and community sectors for the long-term lease and/or redevelopment (under lease) for all or part of landmark site in the heart of the Goulburn CBD.

Comprising 1217 ha on the comer of Burke and Bradley Streets, the property was originally the Stjohn of God Hospital, but in recent years has been leased and operated by NSW Health as the Burke Street Health Centre. With the upgrades to Goulburn Base Hospital now nearing completion, the lessee will be vacating the site at the latest by mid-2023.

The land currently supports the original St John of God hospital and convent buildings, a more recent single level 55 bed hospital, a stand-alone hydrotherapy building, parking and gardens.

CACG is open to a range of health, aged care and/or community uses and will consider proposals requiring redevelopment funded by CACG accompanied by long term lease commitments from suitable operators .

EOIs will be non-binding at this time.

How to get involved?

Interested parties must first register their initial interest via email to au-fmbourkestreetakpmg.com.au. by Spm Wednesday, 11 May ZUZZ, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Once registered, interested parties will be sent an EOI Information Memorandum and Response Form.

The EOI is open between Monday, 2 May to Friday, 20 May. During this time there will be capacity for interested parties to ask questions. However, the cut-off for receiving requests for further information, darifications and/or questions will be Spm, Tuesday, 17 May.
