The NBA’s core business is to deliver blood supply that is responsive to patients needs plus governance and policy about blood and blood products. The Information Technology Services section is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of the projects, business as usual support, infrastructure, security, and call center solutions which support the agencies vision statement.

The NBA is currently finalising our 2022-26 ICT strategy, we are looking for a Project Manager who will be able to join our team and help us deliver key projects to modernise our systems and mobile apps. These systems are used by medical practitioners to manage patient treatments, orders, supply and governance of blood and blood products.

Our corporate environment is currently undergoing its own modernisation through a cloud migration including application, data and infrastructure projects.

The NBA deliver projects in line with the PRINCE2 project management methodology and Agile when delivering enhancements to our bespoke software, mobile apps and release development.

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of either one project or multiple projects in a manner which is on time, within budget and within scope expectations. The role will require you to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issue management to ensure project deliverables are met is essential. Experience with government procurement activities is highly desirable.

The role requires a Project Manager who has the following experience and capabilities:

• Territory degree and/or equivalent experience of 5 years or more in project management, project delivery and PRINCE2 or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience successfully delivering ICT projects into government environments.
• Leading project teams through planning to implementation while delivering results against planned benefits and outcomes.
• Experience conducting government procurement processes including procurement artefacts for high value projects.
• Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement and bridge between technical and non-technical resources and managing their expectations.
• Providing strategic support and analysis into business and technology problems to drive continuous improvement.

The role will require a Baseline security clearance, candidates without a clearance will not be considered for the position.
