This is an Advanced Tender Notice to receive notification from parties interested in tendering for the project. Please note that this advance tender notice is not the actual tender. No tender documentation is provided at this stage.

Project Summary

The Victorian School Building Authority is intending to release a Request for Tender in June 2022 for a maintenance project consisting of two main components within the same building at Camberwell High School located at Camberwell. The project will include and also require the following:

1. Windows: Restoration of sixty three (63) original timber windows in a brick heritage building (two levels + part basement) constructed in 1941. The windows are a combination of fixed, double hung and highlight hopper sashes. Restoration works will include both replacement and restoration of existing window components and will require the engagement of a specialist window sub-contractor experienced in heritage projects.
2. Toilets: Renovation of two existing toilet areas, with one on the ground floor and the other on a mezzanine floor accessed off a stair. This project component requires the demolition of the existing internal fit-out and then renovation works to provide:

• Ground Floor (20 m2): Accessible toilet and two self contained ambulant toilets with basins
• Mezzanine Floor (6m2): Two self contained unisex toilets with basins

All respondents will need to have a current CSR Registration under the category New Commercial Construction Prequalification level amount no less than $2,000,000

A separate Request for Tender (RFT) will be issued. It is expected that approximately four tenderers will be invited. The VSBA will make a decision on which firms are to be invited to submit a tender, based on the firm’s experience, capability and capacity to undertake the work in the required timeframe, and past performance.
