Tender Description
Grampians Health delivers the Victorian Aids and Equipment Program (VA&EP) through the State-wide Equipment Program (SWEP). The Victorian Government’s Department of Health (DoHS) has engaged Grampians Health (was Ballarat Health Services) since 2010 to deliver the various elements of the VA&EP. The program is administered from Ballarat for the whole of Victoria - SWEP operates from a single office in the Ballarat suburb of Mt Helen. While an operational arm of Grampains Health, SWEP operations and clients are not limited to any regional or sub-regional boundaries.
SWEP assists more than 23,000 people from all parts of Victoria each year across a broad range of programs.
SWEP purchases new equipment on demand, does not rent/lease equipment from suppliers nor warehouse/stock new equipment for issue. SWEP usually maintains ownership of re-usable equipment except where the consumer contributes greater than 50% of the total cost of the item.
