Regional Sector and Council strategies put a strong emphasis on accurate and timely environmental monitoring. This includes data collection, curation, standardisation, and supply for public information as well as for evidence-based policy. To support this expectation, systems operated by councils come under regular scrutiny to ensure that they are fit for purpose and provide an appropriate level of stability and performance. There is an increasing expectation of the Sector to be more consistent in its data collection and definitions, while providing prompt access to our environmental data and information assets.
RSHL are looking for a technology partner with the experience and capability to deliver a scalable solution that will remain fit for purpose over time. We are looking for partner that knows data, data transmission, presentation and sharing. We are looking for a partner that supports and drives open interfacing and sharing of information for the betterment of New Zealand’s environmental data.
This request for information will help us understand the what the technology sector has to offer, identify potential solutions and possible partners to work with us on a transformational programme for the environmental data sector.
