Vena Energy Australia is proposing to develop a solar farm, with associated battery storage and infrastructure, across two parcels of land at 696 Castlereagh Highway and 79 Puggoon Road, Beryl NSW (Lot 101 and 102, DP 1203462). Road improvements may also be required by Transport for NSW and MidWestern Regional Council including a section of the Castlereagh Highway at the existing intersection with Puggoon Road, as well as upgrades to Puggoon Road (portions of Lot 21 DP 1014993 and Lot 137 DP750762).

EMM Consulting Pty Ltd has been engaged to undertake an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment to inform the project.
Registrations are invited from Aboriginal individuals and organisations who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and/or places in the area, and who wish to be involved in the consultation process undertaken as part of the assessment.
The purpose of consultation is to assist the proponent in:
1) assessing the Aboriginal heritage values of the area;
2) to assist NSW Government in the assessment of Aboriginal heritage reports prepared for this project; and
3) to support any future applications or approvals for the project sought under Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and/or National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.
