Homes Victoria is intending to release a Request for Tender or Request for Proposal in August 2022 to undertake Demolition Works at Ormond Rd, East Geelong on existing land owned by the Director of Housing.

Homes Victoria intends to redevelop the Ormond Rd, East Geelong site as part of the Victorian Government’s Big Housing Build. The project will involve a contract for demolition of residential buildings in the designated areas. Ormond Rd consists of 10 townhouses and 8 apartments.

This will be a select tender process called from pre-qualified contractors on the Construction Supply Register. Tenderers for this RFT will be shortlisted and contacted prior to tender release. We are unable to provide feedback if your organisation was not invited to participate in this tender process.

Contract award is expected in Q4 2022.

The Government’s Local Jobs First policy and Social Procurement Framework apply to this procurement. Tender participants will need to complete a Local Industry Development Plan (LIDP) as part of Local Jobs First requirements. The Major Project Skills Guarantee (MPSG) and Apprenticeships Victoria requirements also apply to this procurement. These commitments will need to be included within the LIDP.
