Homes Victoria is intending to release a Request for Tender in August 2022 to undertake demolition works for project sites in Hampton East and Port Melbourne to support the Big Housing Build Ground Lease Model Project.

The Demolition Works projects will include services infrastructure enabling works; the staged demolition and removal of buildings including substructure, associated structures, hazardous materials, landscaping and vegetation; levelling of demolition footprints to tie into existing ground level, fencing and grassing.

Homes Victoria intends to conduct a selected tender process called from pre-qualified demolition and building Contractors on the Construction Supplier Register and bidders must have experience delivering large demolition works contracts ($1M+).

Contract award is expected in Quarter 4 2022.

The Government’s Local Jobs First policy and Social Procurement Framework apply to this project. Tender participants will need to complete a Local Industry Development Plan (LIDP) as part of Local Jobs First requirements. The Major Project Skills Guarantee (MPSG) and Apprenticeships Victoria requirements also apply to this procurement. These commitments will need to be included within the LIDP.
