Grampians Health Ballarat is undertaking a construction project to remodel and refurbish the exisiting Ambulatory Emergency Department (AED) with the goal to create a new space to complement the Emegency Department (ED) in providing more timely access to care for its consumers.

Grampians Health Ballarat is seeking a sutably qualified contractor to provide a fixed a price tender for this construction project which involves the demolition, remodeling and refurbishment of the existing internal emergency area - Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) to increase ED acute care capacity.

Grampians Health also intends to use the ED CDU project as a prototype area for the $541.6M Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment project. At the completion of the redevelopment, the Emergency Department will be relocated into the new facility and this space will be used as a Transit Lounge.

It is anticipated that this project will be completed over a 4-month period.
