Tender Details
Tender Description
For the purposes of advanced notification only:
The NSW EPA currently runs the Household Problem Waste Program that aims to prevent toxicity in our environment and provides a safe, free and convenient drop off service for household problem wastes that can’t be disposed of in kerbside bins or down the drain. The two elements of this service are:
• Community Recycling Centres (CRC) – collection from 97+ fixed location local council run facilities across NSW. The CRC program targets high volume low toxicity household wastes, such as paint, gas bottles and batteries
• Household and Chemical Cleanout (HCC) events – collection from 100+ temporary events in predominantly metropolitan NSW areas. It targets low volume, high toxicity household wastes.
The purpose of this tender will be for the NSW EPA to appoint provider/s to:
• Collect household problem wastes from CRCs and process, treat, recover, recycle and dispose of these wastes
• Stage HCC events across the state and process, treat, recover, recycle and dispose of household problem wastes from these events.
The NSW EPA intends to procure the services described above through an open tender process published via this eTendering website.
The expected issue date is late October 2022. This an estimate and subject to change. This notice is not a formal request for tender and no response is required.
