On behalf of Lake Macquarie City Council, RPS is requesting registration of interest from Aboriginal Stakeholders for Aboriginal Heritage investigation in the Belmont South area.
The project area commences from Railway Parade, Belmont and will traverse in a southerly direction through land on the western side of Belmont lagoon and along various streets of Belmont South terminating at the intersection of Hilda Street and the Pacific Highway, Marks Point.
The purpose of this community consultation with Aboriginal people is to assist the proposed applicant (Lake Macquarie City Council) in the preparation of an application for an AHIP which will assist with the consideration and determination of the project.
As per the OEH guidelines: Aboriginal Heritage Consultation Requirements for Proponents (DECCW 2010), please provide your response by the 25 October 2022 to:
