RFI Liquid helium recovery/recycling system
Tender ID: 512403
Tender Details
Tender Description
Massey University (Massey) is a top-tier research and teaching university. Our School of Natural Sciences (SNS) is currently looking to gather market information for a system to recycle liquid helium boil-off from our three superconducting Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) magnets, situated on its Manawatu campus.
These magnets currently consume approximately 900 liters of liquid helium per annum. Potential solutions could include a complete helium recovery and re-liquefaction system, or recovery with off-site re-liquefaction. SNS is also a moderate user of liquid nitrogen (further details can be provided on request) and so solutions that combine helium recycling with liquid nitrogen generation could also be considered.
We encourage all capable suppliers to respond to this RFI and submit their expression-of-interest by 31st January 2023 by providing relevant information including an estimated price range. In your submission, we expect to see full technical details of your product offering, estimated running costs, warranty and service provisions, total expected life of the product, estimated charges for yearly maintenance and any support after expiry of the warranty provisions.
