Kempsey Shire Council invites Aboriginal people and Aboriginal groups who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and places for 20 Airport Road, Aldavilla 2440 (NSW) to register to be consulted. A development application (DA2200364) and planning proposal (PP-2020-529) has been submitted for the proposed Macleay Valley Adventure Park development, located at 20 Airport Road, Aldavilla, NSW. The proposed development is for the construction of a new adventure park and multi-purpose facility including accommodation cabins, parking areas, a landscaped event space and an indoor rock climbing centre including a hangar. The allotments subject to development comprise Lot 1 DP 1144474 and Lot 2 DP 1144474. The purpose of consultation with Aboriginal people is to assist the proponent in the preparation of an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment Report (ACHAR) and if required, an application for an AHIP to assist the Executive Director of Heritage NSW's (Department of Planning and Environment) consideration and determination of the application.
Please note that details of the Aboriginal people or organisations who register an interest in consultation will be forwarded to Heritage NSW, Kempsey Local Aboriginal Land Council (KLALC) and Thunggutti Local Aboriginal Land Council (TLALC). Please advise at the time of registration if you do not wish for your details to be released to the relevant organisations.
