Tender Description
The opportunity
Te Whatu Ora is seeking to establish a nationally consistent system of data capture, analytics and intelligence that supports the use of health intelligence and insights to ensure equity of access and outcomes from all health services across Aotearoa New Zealand.
National Data Platform:
Core to this objective is a federated data platform, made up of a suite of integrated technology products, which has at its centre national datasets organised into an integrated, conformed data model (National Data Platform or NDP). At its periphery will be self-governing zones where Te Whatu Ora, its districts and regions, Te Aka Whai Ora and potentially other organisations can manage their own data, complemented by data sharing to and from the central data model. The platform will provide nationally-extensible data ingestion, storage, transformation and cataloguing tools, with connectivity to core business intelligence tools.
The tools of the NDP must integrate well with each other – noting that:
- some toolsets may operate across more than one function,
- we may need more than one toolset for certain functions to perform in our context, e.g. multiple data ingestion tools to cope with legacy and modern data sources.
We are looking for a partner with the experience and capacity to design and implement the National Data Platform.
Interested Parties must register their interest to respond before the deadline.
