In April 2021, tail winds from Cyclone Seroja passed over Geraldton-Greenough, damaging the roof and walls of Wesleyan Chapel, Greenough, c.1867. The cathedral style roof is supported by four significant jarrah king post trusses.

National Trust seek to remove the remaining colorbond roof and gutters and replace the entire roof with new z600 nailed short-sheet heritage galvanised corrugated iron roof, soldered gutters and downpipes. The scope includes replacing storm demolished jarrah timber structural framing with like-for-like jarrah in addition to structural Helibeam, stitching and wall pinning repairs identified in structural drawings. Other minor conservation works are included in the scope. A provisional sum for termite damaged timber replacement is included in the scope. Contractors will also follow structural drawings to connect (pin) multiple existing heritage fabric (stone, jarrah trusses and other structure).

A high level of competency in heritage works is expected in this project. Experience in understanding of Helibar repair techniques in required. Contractors must be well versed in the techniques for handling and introducing Helibars to heritage stone masonry.
