Intergenerational programs have been shown to have benefits for people who participate in them. The development of connections between generations helps to improve health outcomes for older people and promotes understanding of their needs and circumstances. Activities identified here aim to increase social connectedness while addressing chronic conditions including physical health, cognitive abilities, and mental health. The successful implementation of intergenerational programs can produce a variety of longer-term benefits.

WVPHN is inviting potential providers to apply for the opportunity to implement and deliver Intergenerational Programs
Providers are invited to apply from all WVPHN regions and are encouraged to demonstrate a targeted approach to reach demographic areas where there is highest need within the WVPHN region.
