Gindaja Treatment and Healing Indigenous Corporation is seeking suitably qualified and experienced building contractors for the construction of a new training building and accommodation units at Back Beach Road, Yarrabah. An Expression of Interest is being called to determine a suitable Tender panel for this project. POD (People Oriented Design) is the Principal Consultant & Project Manager for this project.

Project Background:
Gindaja Treatment and Healing is an Indigenous community-controlled organisation dedicated to improving the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

We are proposing to construct a new 370m2 training building with commercial kitchen and dining, six new accommodation units (4 bedrooms each), new carparking, driveway, site services and landscaping.
Contractors must hold an open License with MR Category 3 or above, have demonstrated experience of delivering projects in remote Indigenous communities, have an established north Queensland base, with commitment to locally based suppliers and contractors.

• Tender Shortlisting announced – 24 March 2023.
• Tender Issue – 28 March 2023.
