This work comprises the supply and installation of a new sequential batch reactor (SBR) wastewater treatment plant.

The replacement of existing sprayfield fence, replacement of treated effluent sprayfield pipework and replacement of wastewater treatment plant emergency overflow pond will also be included to the scope.

The scope of work shall include, but shall not necessarily be limited to the supply (and delivery) of the following equipment by the contractor:

The Works shall include but are not limited to the following:

a) Design and construct a new 2000EP SBR Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP);

b) Decommissioning and spare part salvage of existing membrane biological reactor (MBR) plant equipment post new SBR plant commissioning;

c) Rehabilitation of existing Wastewater Treatment Plant ground to original;

d) Supply and Installation of a new sprayfield irrigation and connecting pipework;

e) Decommissioning, removal and disposal of existing sprayfield irrigation and connecting pipeworks;

f) Supply and installation of new sprayfield irrigation compound fence;

g) Decommissioning, removal and disposal of existing sprayfield irrigation compound fence;

h) Review and investigate existing emergency overflow pond dimension to determine suitability for reuse (should the existing pond deemed to be inadequate a complete design and construct of a new suitably sized emergency overflow pond will be required);

i) Supply and installation of new emergency overflow pond liner;

j) Decommissioning, removal and disposal of existing emergency overflow pond liner;

k) Testing and Commissioning;

l) Systems documentation inclusive of an Operations and Maintenance Manual;

m) “As-built” drawings submitted in Microstation;

n) Supply of all chemicals and consumables required for commissioning and the first two months of operation (or until such time new SBR plant is deemed compliant;

o) Maintenance staff / operators training;

p) Monitoring of sample results and reporting against design and Licence parameters;

q) Reinstatement of all disturbed areas to original conditions and levels including but not limited to road (asphalt / bitumen), concrete footpath / drainage / turfing / mulching of all disturbed areas, reinstatement of plants until established. Note: Refer to SS-C106 for plants type;

r) Restoration and/or repair to the satisfaction of the Company representative of any damage caused to any existing infrastructures, services and facilities occasioned during the course of the works;

s) All incidental and associated works and any other works not specifically listed herein but that are required to be carried out to complete entire work related to pipelines and making the entire pipeline system ready for operation;

t) Removal of redundant pipeworks and fittings in the work area to an approved local council rubbish disposal and tip (Newman);

u) Removal of any excess excavated material from site to an approved local council rubbish disposal and tip (Newman); and

v) Survey and setting out, maintenance of survey control, survey pick up and drafting of As-Built drawings.

w) Unless otherwise stated, the Contractor shall be responsible for the performance of the whole of the works including such work as may be required, but not specifically described herein, in order to achieve Practical Completion of the Contract.
