Qube Forestry Pty Ltd ("the Manager") is requesting proposals for the provision of wood chip haulage services by suitably experienced contractors ("Respondents").
The “Green Triangle” is one of Australia’s major forest regions, with extensive plantation softwood and hardwood resources that is a mainstay of the local economy. There is an established softwood processing industry in the region, including pulp and paper manufacturing, sawn timber, wood panels and wood chip export.
The Manager is seeking tenders for the haulage of 100,000T per annum of wood chip from Coupe to Portland Chip Terminal for a term of 3 years, with a service commencement date to be negotiated between the Manager and the successful Respondent.

Scope:
The scope of this Request for Proposal (RFP) for the haulage works to be completed include:
- Provision of Equipment, including licensed, roadworthy and legal haulage:
- Qube Forestry’s preferred proposal will be to utilise Qube Forestry chip bins, however, Respondent supplying their own chip bins will also be considered.
- Equipment suitable for in-plantation loading
- Haulage from the Plantation to the Delivery Point in accordance with all Laws, including National Heavy Vehicle legislation
- Provision of information to Qube Forestry including:
- Haulage truck and trailer registration details
- Identification of regular drivers for each truck
- Haulage truck and trailer configurations (including aggregate, tare and gross combination weights)
- Hauling of empty trailers to in-plantation loading points
- Observation and assistance to loader operator, as required, during the truck loading process is to be provided by truck driver to ensure a safe, secure and stable load is made
- Observing industry work, health and safety requirements in plantations on public roads and at processing facility
- Using an Approved Weighbridge and electronic recording systems, as instructed
- Provision of necessary personnel, Equipment and other resources to carry out the above tasks.
