Tender Description

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) is a modern fire and rescue service that meets the needs of twenty-first century Victoria. 

The new organisation was established on 1 July 2020 as part of Victoria’s Fire Services Reforms. We serve and protect communities across Melbourne and Victoria’s major regional centres.

There are 85 FRV stations located across the state. FRV Firefighters respond to fires, complex rescues, road crashes, emergency medical calls and hazardous chemical spills.

Our people are highly trained and ready to respond to emergencies across Victoria, Australia, and the world.

FRV Emergency Medical Response (EMR) Workplace Setting

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) is an Emergency Service Organisation (ESO) that provides emergency response to the community located within the state of Victoria.  FRV personnel provide Occupational First Aid and more advanced Emergency Medical Response (EMR) skills as First Responders during incidents, and emergency medical events.

The EMR First Responder role is performed in collaboration with Ambulance Victoria (AV) as part of the joint Emergency Medical Response First Responder program.  

The EMR First Responder training program is designed to provide operational emergency service personnel with the skills and competencies to perform as an EMR First Responder.

FRV is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) registered to deliver, assess and issue qualifications for a range of courses on its scope of registration in accordance with the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF).

FRV invites submissions to deliver training for its EMR First Responder program from established and reputable emergency medical services training providers. 

The period of any contract entered into will be for a period of Five (5) years, with an option to extend the contract for a further two (2), one (1) year periods

In order to provide high quality training programs, the successful tenderer will be required to make available personnel, resources, and services described in this scope of services.

FRV reserves the right to include and incorporate personnel from other Emergency Service Organisations in the EMR First Responder and Occupational First Aid training programs.
