The Melbourne & Olympic Parks precinct is Australia’s centre stage for live sports, music, and entertainment. Home to six world-class venues – Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena, AAMI Park, Kia Arena, and CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park – the precinct welcomes more than 2.8 million guests to over 500 events annually, including Australia’s world-famous Grand Slam tennis tournament, the Australian Open.
The Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust (MOPT) and Tennis Australia (TA) collaborate closely on the delivery of the precinct’s major event, the Australian Open. Year-round, MOPT works with a range of stakeholders, including professional sporting clubs and leagues, and entertainment promoters, to deliver a diverse program of events across the precinct’s venues.
The Opportunities
MOPT and TA are calling on capable, experienced, and innovative caterers to provide catering services at the Melbourne & Olympic Parks precinct through a two-stage procurement process. For part one, MOPT and TA are seeking Expressions of Interest from interested parties.
Two contracts are on offer, for Melbourne Park – which includes Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena, Kia Arena and function and events space CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park – and AAMI Park. Invitees are welcome to respond to one or both contract opportunities.

The AAMI Park catering contract includes year-round catering requirements at the venue, including catering to guests, artists, athletes, delegates and corporate hospitality across back of house, public and retail, conferences, galas, special events and functions.
