Endeavour Energy is planning a range of battery projects across its network, including for community batteries, network support batteries, and microgrids. These include community battery projects that may be partially funded by the recently announced Commonwealth "Community Batteries for Solar Homes" program. Endeavour is preparing to conduct a procurement of batteries during the second half of 2023, subject to grant funding under this program.
This RFI is intended to inform possible battery procurements for
(1) projects to be partially funded through the Commonwealth community batteries program, as well as
(2) other possible projects that may be funded separately, and may be pursued at a later time.
To support these projects, Endeavour Energy seeks information from battery suppliers regarding commercially available integrated battery energy storage systems across a range of capacities, ranging from 30 kW to 5 MW
