Murrumbidgee Irrigation (MI) operates irrigation and drainage infrastructure for the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA) in New South Wales, providing water to numerous landholders in that area. The MIA region is currently undergoing an expansion into a wider range of agriculture farming methods, technologies & products that requires efficient water distribution.

This project will complete the modernization of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area. The finalization of these works will achieve improved water delivery efficiencies and increased delivery performance that meets industry demands, enables regional agribusinesses to maximize their potential for sustainable production, invests in regional communities through local opportunities, and delivers water for the environment. This will lead to a resilient community that is well-adapted and able to reside, and thrive, in a water-constrained future.

The MI Residential Connections project is currently valued at approximately $1,000,000. project delivery (construction) activities will commence in June 2023 and are anticipated for completion by February 2024. Works will be released as work instruction packages to a panel of successful tenderers.

Mi invites companies or joint ventures with civil construction and water infrastructure experience and capability to submit an Expression of Interest to receive a tender invitation.

Interested companies will be invited to submit tenders for works packages associated with the Residential Connections Project.
