ForestrySA is seeking to establish a pool of suitably qualified and experienced suppliers to provide Forestry Services.

ForestrySA has a commercial interest in:

1. re-establishing Radiata Pine plantations following harvesting of mature plantations at the end of their 30–35-year rotation.
2. establishing new plantation developments where commercial return & risk profile is assessed as acceptable.

Plantation establishment target is at a rate of approximately 400 up to 500 ha per year over the next 3 years.

Forestry Services contractors are required for the establishment and maintenance of plantations and management of native forest in the following broad areas:

• Site Preparation – clearing
• Site Preparation – cultivation
• Aerial Operations – plantation weed control and fertilisation
• Plantation Maintenance – tree marking, weed spraying, manual weed control, and Pre-Commercial Thinning
• Firebreak Maintenance – plantations
• Track Maintenance – native forests
• Road Construction and maintenance
• Ground Operations - noxious weed control, wilding control and infrastructure maintenance (weed control)

The evaluaton will be conducted in 2 stages

Stage 1 - responses (without pricing information) are evaluation and shortlisted

Stage 2 - responses finalised with pricing information.
