JJ Ginifer Reserve is a Neighbourhood category park of approximately 1.2 hectares located in Altona North, Victoria. The reserve has two street frontages; the main access for maintenance vehicles to the reserve is from Chambers Road, with a secondary pedestrian access point off Cooper Avenue. The reserve currently features a network of pedestrian footpaths; a playground and small basketball court in the centre of the reserve with many mature trees. The reserve has not received a comprehensive upgrade for approximately 20-30 years. The existing playground area was upgraded in 2013, along with the installation of a small basketball court. The upgrade of this park is part of the 10 year local & neighbourhood Community Parks Program as part of the 2018-28 Hobson's Bay Open Space Strategy.
Council is looking for contractor to undertake a full upgrade of the park and play space including all furniture, fixtures, footpaths, fencing, play equipment & soft landscaping, also resurfacing of the existing half court. The successful contractor will need to work in with the playground and shelter installers.
