Burwood Council invites interested Law Firms to submit tenders for the provision of legal services for an initial period of three years, with one-year option.

The legal requirements of Council cover a range of categories for which professional, accurate and timely services are required. The categories are:

Area 1 – Major Transactions

Area 2 – Commercial Law

Area 3 – Property Law

Area 4 – Planning and Environment Law

Area 5 – Employment, Work Health and Safety Law

Area 6 – Government, Regulatory, Administrative and General Litigation, including under the

Local Government Act 1993 and related legislation

Area 7 – A periodic advisory service where brief appointments can be booked for minor ad hoc advice covering the above areas (either onsite at Council’s offices, online or by telephone)

Tenders may be submitted for all or some of the services as detailed in the Specifications. Council reserves the right to select multiple firms to fulfil the provision of each category of service or to not select any firms for a particular category of service.
