Charitable Recycling Australia is the peak body for charity shops in Australia. In Victoria, it has administered the successful Landfill Levy Relief Program on behalf of the Victorian Government that provides financial relief protection to charities against the waste levy for unusable and illegally dumped items that have to be sent to landfill. Every three years, a program evaluation is required that entails a desktop review against the criteria outlined in the evaluation requirements along with an online survey of the 24 claimant charities and 4-5 telephone interviews with claimants and the CEO of Charitable Recycling Australia. Past evaluations are available as a template to follow if required.

The final report is due on 30 September 2023, and past evaluations have shown that it takes around two weeks. Budget is $5,000.
