INVITATION TO TENDER No. ITT 9/2023-Hunts Creek Bridge Construction, North Rocks Road, North Parramatta

ABOUT THE COUNCIL:

The City of Parramatta Council is located 24 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD and provides a range of goods and services within a local government area (LGA) encompassing some 84 square kilometres and comprises a population of approximately 260,296 people from a range of diverse cultures, lifestyles and experiences

ABOUT THE TENDER:

The City of Parramatta proposes to construct a single-span bridge over Hunts Creek - North Rocks Road, North Parramatta. This will replace the existing twin culverts. North Rocks Road is an important traffic and transport route whereby the existing culverts convey 3 traffic lanes (2 southbound and 1 northbound) connecting North Rocks with North Parramatta.

Council is inviting Tenders from experienced Civil Engineering contractors accredited with TfNSW to implement the project.

The Scope of Work includes:

* Construction of a single span (14.4m length x 28m wide) concrete bridge

* Creek scour protection

* Utility relocation

* Removal of existing culvert

* Adjustment and reinstatement of traffic control signals

* Line marking, signposting, and asphalt re-sheeting of the road pavement

It is proposed to construct the bridge in two stages, allowing one traffic lane to remain open at all times.

No pre-tender meeting is proposed, however it is recommended that prospective Tenderers visit the project site to confirm the scope of work, and if questions arise submit these via the online forum or to tenders@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au

Completed responses can be submitted via the electronic tender box (see option below) by 10.00am, Tuesday, 11 July 2023.

CLOSING DATE AND TIME: Tenders close at 10.00am, Tuesday, 11 July 2023 and submissions must be fully received by this time. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted, and any action or contact that may be considered as an attempt to influence a decision of Councillors or Staff shall disqualify the relevant tender. Late, verbal or emailed submissions will not be accepted.
