Tender Description
Following the success of the NSW (New South Wales) Mentally Healthy Workplaces (WMH) Strategy to 2022, workplace mental health remains a priority for SafeWork NSW as we work to ensure that NSW workplaces understand and take effective action to manage psychosocial hazards at work and promote mentally healthy workplaces that comply with the code of practice: Managing psychosocial hazards at work.
Workplace Mental Health Coaching (WMHC) referred as the ‘Coaching Service’ (formerly known as Direct Practical Coaching) has committed to supporting NSW Persons Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU) to increase awareness and capability in creating a mentally healthy workplace and increasing compliance with WHS (Work Health and Safety) Regulations. The model WHS Regulation amendments came into effect in April 2022, with new provisions defining psychosocial hazards. Regulations 55A-55D clarify duties in relation to psychosocial hazards, including requiring employers to have regard to all relevant matters when determining the control measures to implement to manage psychosocial hazards. NSW adopted the new model WHS Regulations on 1st October 2022.
