Push Up, Crushing and Screening of Gravel Various Locations, Shire of Kulin

⁠⁠⁠The Shire of Kulin requires the production of 60,000m3 (approx.) of gravel in various locations within the Kulin West area.

The Contractor will be required to undertake the following.

 Strip topsoil off the ground and stockpile.

 Push up the gravel material with a bulldozer.

 Crush, screen, mix and manufacture lateritic materials to produce a base course quality gravel.

 30,000m3 is required for 2023/24 measured in stockpiles after processing, with the remaining 30,000m3 to be produced in the 2024/25 financial year. The Contractor is responsible for paying and arranging a surveyor to measure the stockpiles.

 The Contractor shall undertake testing weekly – 3 samples which will include Atterberg limits, psd’s and soaked CBRs.

 The specification for the base course gravel.

 Reinstate topsoil where possible.

Additional Information

 The landowners have been contacted by the Shire and the Shire will inform each landowner of the movements of the contractor and provide face-to-face meetings as the contractor commences work.

 The Contractor must adhere to all landowners’ requirements,

 The Contractor must cease work when a Total Fire Ban or Harvest Vehicle Movement Ban is called.
