Tender Details
Tender Description
Capital Health Network (CHN) is seeking to commission the Early Psychosis Youth Service (EPYS) Program in the ACT, providing early intervention mental health care for young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing a first episode of psychosis, as well as those identified as ultra-high risk for the development of psychosis in the future. The EPYS Program is based on the Orygen Early Psychosis Prevention and Intervention Centre (EPPIC) Model and operates from headspace Centres as headspace Early Psychosis (hEP).
CHN is inviting applications from potential providers to:
- Develop, establish, and provide the EPYS Program in the ACT as a hEP service, including meeting EPPIC fidelity and all requirements of the headspace National Trade Mark Licence Deed.
- Consult with key stakeholders, including service providers, young people, and community members, to localise the service model, ensure system integration, and support accessibility, among other activities.
- Work closely with Canberra Health Services (CHS) and the Specialist Youth Mental Health Outreach (SYMHO) service to reduce duplication, outline pathways for cooperation, and explore avenues to develop an integrated service model.
- Deliver education and increase awareness around psychosis as a mental health condition, including its presentation, risk factors, case detection, prevention, and intervention.
- Recruit a skilled multidisciplinary workforce to provide optimistic, person-centered, recovery-focused and trauma-informed early psychosis care for young people.
