Tender Description
The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is intending to release an Expression of Interest (EOI) for Quantity Surveyor services between 14 - 19 July 2023 in relation to the Northern Hospital Redevelopment Project located in Epping in Melbourne’s north.
An election commitment was made in September 2022 to invest $770-$855 million to deliver a new Emergency Department (ED) with up to 70 extra treatment spaces as well as a new tower for over 100 inpatient beds. The Emergency Department will include an alcohol and other drugs hub, a dedicated acute behavior treatment space, and a separate children’s treatment area. The announcement identified the relocation of the Emergency Department to Cooper St.
This opportunity to provide Quantity Surveyor services to support the delivery of the two components of the Northern Hospital Redevelopment Project – (1) Enabling and Early Works, (2) Main works: Emergency Department and IPU Tower.
Enabling and Early works are due to commence in late 2024.
The construction contract approach is still being considered.
