Tender Description
Temora Shire Council and Bland Shire Council formed a consortium and that was successfully funded under Round 1 of the Regional Drought Resilience Planning Program, to develop a Regional Drought Resilience Plan. The program aims to build capability and empower regional communities to plan and act early to respond to drought risks and reduce impacts on their communities.
The program is designed to support the development of drought plans that consider:
• Growing self-reliance and drought resilience of regional communities including the agricultural sector.
• Improving natural capital of agricultural landscapes for better environmental outcomes.
• Strengthening the wellbeing and social capital of rural, regional, and remote communities.
The project is being led by Temora Shire Council in collaboration with Bland Shire Councils based in southern NSW.
