Project Description

Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE (GOTAFE) are conducting an Advanced Tender Notice (ATN) to engage a suitably qualified construction company to complete Wangaratta Education First Youth Foyers (EFYF).

Following the closure of the ATN, GOTAFE will undertake an open Tender. Tenderers must be prequalified between the value of $5M - $15M on the Department of Treasury and Finance’s Construction Supplier Register (CSR) for New Commercial Construction and Commercial Refurbishment category.

Location

The Wangaratta EFYF is located at 31 Docker Street, Wangaratta located on GOTAFEs existing campus.

Scope

The work is comprised but not limited to:

• Construction of a 2 story, 40 studio apartment, youth accommodation facility.
• Studio apartments to include living & dining area and bathroom.
• External, undercover 11 space car park.
• Staff & Student workspaces and study areas.
• Staff & student amenities.
• Multipurpose, dining, and commercial areas.
• Laundry and storage facilities.
• 70m2 balcony breakout area.

Works will also include the demolition of an existing brick house prior to works commencing.

Contract

The contract will be completed under AS2124-1992 General Conditions of Contract, amended by Department of Treasury and Finance for Victorian Public Sector Projects.

Tender

The Tender will be an open tender which will be advertised for a 4-week period.

Bidders should be aware that this procurement is subject to the Supplier Code of Conduct, Local Jobs First Policy and Social Procurement Framework.

Tender Site Visit

A briefing session will be held at 31 Docker St, Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia, 3747 on 30 April 2024 11:00 am.

A site visit is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.

Attendance at the briefing is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
