Tender Description
Council is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified and capable contractors for the upgrade to the East Ivanhoe Preschool at 1 King Street, Ivanhoe East VIC 3079.
An overview of the East Ivanhoe Preschool works includes but is not limited to:
• Demolition works of the existing building and playground;
• Construction of a new building;
• Upgrade outdoor area and landscaping (excluding playground);
• Construction of a car park;
• Arrange inspections for Building Surveyor (Building Permit to be arranged by BCC prior to works commencing); and
• Site clean-up
The contractor is to note that the scope of the works includes the identification, investigation, removal, and safe disposal of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM).
Part 5 investigation report for this building has been included in the specifications. The contractor is required to conduct a Part 6 Asbestos audit on areas that the contractor proposes to disturb. The contractor must remove all asbestos in the proposed work areas utilising a specialist asbestos removal Contractor and conduct air monitoring on air quality post asbestos removal. The contractor must provide Council with a formal report on the asbestos removal and air monitoring.
The contractor is to familiarise themselves with the site, access, extent, complexity, and timing of works required and shall take into account any additional or incidental works not specifically listed.
Contractors can visit the site externally only by themselves at any time during the RFT period.
Please note all tenderers must be Commercially Registered Builders with the Victorian Building Authority.
