Barring Djinang is the Victorian Government’s 5-year Aboriginal Employment Strategy. The strategy included 15 initiatives to enhance attraction, recruitment and retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Victorian Public Sector with the goal of improving Aboriginal employment outcomes and experiences. These initiatives focus on targeted employment programs and career development and support for staff. The strategy was launched in November 2016 was due to conclude in 2022 and was then extended to June 2023. A new 5-year strategy is currently under development which will encapsulate a refreshed approach to the Leadership Program.

This opportunity requires an organisation with strong experience applying leadership development methodologies within an Aboriginal-specific culturally safe framework to deliver the Barring Djinang Leadership Program.
