Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) intends to offer a lease of the premises to the party best able to meet the retail food and beverage needs identified in this Request for Tender (RFT). It is expected that the service model put forward by the Proponents will promote the following objectives:
• To establish a progressive, vibrant and thriving café
• To focus on quality fresh food and beverages options and services for patients, staff and visitors in accordance with the NSW Health Policy around healthier food and drink choices (Healthy Food and Drink in NSW Health facilities for Staff and Visitors Framework) with a desire to ensure a pricing structure to allow for lower social economic persons to be able to eat on site if family or friends are patients for a sustained period.
• To provide excellent customer service
• To create an environment that engages the senses, and provides a break from the surrounding clinical feel of the hospital environment
• To provide a relaxing meeting place. The café space must have regard to the diversity of patrons and be sympathetic to all user groups.
