Tasman Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations or individuals to undertake consultations and subsequently develop a strategy to provide direction to help empower young people in the Tasman community and assist in providing them with the skills to prepare for the future.

Scope of work:

To deliver a series of consultations, with a strong in person presence, to develop a strategy to meet the above goals and objectives and provide a framework for ongoing support to young people to promote the skills to help prepare them for the future.

Specific actions within the scope will include, but may not be limited to:

 Consultations with young people in the Tasman municipality to determine their needs and challenges faced in the transition to independent life. This will include the identification of specific challenges faced by young people living in an isolated region.

 Consultations with other community stakeholders to help define needs, services available.

 Identification of potential mentors, and pathways to connect mentors with mentees.

 Identification of emerging themes, analysis and reporting on the same.

 Write and present a strategy which is to include achievable actions and opportunities to develop self-sustaining network for ongoing activity and indicate potential funding sources for ongoing activities.
