The Shire of Cranbrook is seeking quotations for an operator and machinery to push up, compact and improve the general disposal of rubbish on site on a regular basis at the Cranbrook Rubbish Tip. The process includes pushing all rubbish into the designated cell, compaction, and covering with dirt provided on site to prevent debris from blowing away.

The successful quotation will need to include:

1. Details of machinery available for use

2. Weight of machinery and ability to compact rubbish within the cell

3. Whether machinery is available to also move soil for the purpose of covering rubbish

4. Operator will need to be provided and obviously this will include wet hire

The work will need to be done based on the following time schedule:

« Monday morning at 10.00 am weekly after the emptying of the normal household rubbish

«Tuesday morning fortnightly after the emptying of the transfer stations (time to be discussed and advised)

Any innovation or improvement on the current system can be discussed once the Shire have completed their Waste Management Strategy, and there may be further work as part of an improvement process.
