Christchurch-NZ is calling for interest from the market in the development of Sydenham Yard, a sustainable residential neighborhood with strong connections to the surrounding community.

Developers are being asked to submit proposals for a housing project next to Sydenham Park (the site of the former City Care depot) that meet specific criteria for housing choice, healthy living, and connected communities through an Expressions of Interest process

The project is an exciting one for the city and is part of the wider development of the site, which has seen the land split up to also allow key infrastructure upgrades and bring a research facility and jobs close to the center of town.

The Expressions of Interest process is now open, with documents available on ChristchurchNZ’s website and through our preferred tendering platform.
